Sailor Cosmos, also known as Neo-Queen Serenity, Sailor Moon, and Usagi Tsukino is thousands of years past even her reign as Neo-Queen Serenity. She is, in fact no longer reigning queen but is the guardian of the entire cosmos. Out of respect she is still referred to as Neo-Queen Serenity when not in her senshi garb. Serenity has gained immortality and is the most powerful form of Sailor Moon. She lives in a world where almost everything and everyone she ever loved is dead and her kingdom destroyed in a battle against Sailor Chaos. Even the universe in her unending battle with Sailor Chaos has been damaged. Afraid and even cowardly she ran away from the battle. So she went back in time to visit her younger self at an earlier battle with Galaxia to try and convince Eternal Sailor Moon to destroy the Galaxy Cauldron.
When she went back in time as a four year old, she found that her younger self was suffering from loss and depression so she helped comfort her. Whilst in the past she encountered Princess Kakyuu and kept her safe in an incense burner while Kakyuu healed after her planet was destroyed by Galaxia. As a four year old, Cosmos cleverly disguised her powers and was never discovered until the very end where after Galaxia was defeated by Sailor Moon, Cosmos revealed herself to her younger form. Her younger form then sacrificed herself into the Cauldron since Chaos had melded with it and Cosmos revealed the truth of her coming to the past to the Quartet. She confided that even though she was Sailor Cosmos, that the ability to sacrifice everything is what would truly made her capable of being Sailor Cosmos.
She returned the Quartet back to their time and then returned herself to the future.
PLEASE NOTE: When Cosmos ISN'T in her senshi form (and let's face it, she won't always be) she will appear as Neo-Queen Serenity.
[Personality]
Cosmos is gifted with infinite and limitless love for everything in the universe. Even her enemy, Chaos and the various forms he takes, hold love in her heart. There is no one she hates. There are those she considers closer to her heart than others, but she will never claim to ever hate anyone. She is not capable of hating anyone anymore, although realistically she is aware that those able to feel the deepest love can feel the deepest hatred. But even if that is the case, she still loves all. Those that hold the highest importance in her heart are her husband, daughter, and her senshi. After that there is no real "level" concerning the love she has for her people and the universe. She will try to comfort anyone hurt and even if someone hates her or wants to hurt her she will still love them. She will even apologize to those whom may hurt or hate her for whatever "wrong" they think she has done against them.
While her love is limitless, the same cannot be said for her patience. She tries, however to have infinite patience with everything but there are still certain things that upset her. She does not tolerate unjust persecution nor does she accept unwarranted cruelty to people. However, the easiest way for her to lose her patience is to have a single-mindlessness about a topic be it: destruction, chaos, or even something that is "good" such as finding a loved one with no regard for others. Serenity is otherwise very calm and gentle to everyone around her. In fact she may even be too calm at times. Serenity, due to her age, is very passive and extremely slow to act in regards to fighting someone or defending herself. She will try to appeal to their reason and logic and will even go so far as to allow herself to be injured before she is willing to raise her staff and harm another person. Even if she must "fight" she will only defend herself. Rarely will she actually attack. She only attacks against Chaos and since their battle is unending there are constant pauses in the fight between them.
Cosmos is no longer afraid of death. However, she will simultaneously not feel great remorse when someone else dies yet she will feel deep sorrow for the loss for the pain it brings people. She will feel sadness at the passing but she does not view it as "the end" of the matter. So long as there is a Cauldron, those who die have the chance to be reborn. In this matter she is also aware that fighting will never end and is as eternal as everything else in the universe. Even if the Cauldron (which she defends and guards) is destroyed she is aware somewhere, another one will be created someday because the cycle is endless. As is her fight with Chaos. Due to everyone she deeply loves being dead, she feels great sorrow and feels very lonely. But she also knows that in her heart they are always with her and she is not truly alone. She has faith and hope that the Cauldron may one day allow them to be reborn and she is also aware that she could do bring them back to life and chooses not to so long as the battle with Chaos continues. There are times when she cannot fight away this sadness even to the best of her abilities and it will cause her to just go into a silent depression.
Cosmos is also a mother and has been a mother for thousands of years. She is very protective and adores her daughter. She also loves the four senshi her daughter has as if they were her daughters since in her proper time, they grow up with her daughter. Since Serenity is generally older than most people and constantly wants to take care of people, her motherly side often comes out and she'll pseudo-adopt people and take care of them. The people that hold the closest positions in her heart are her daughter, husband, and senshi. She will do anything in the world for them; even die if that is the necessary sacrifice. If she finds out something is troubling them or is hurting them it is the quickest way to get her into action. She will fight for them instantly. Knowing her daughter and husband or the senshi are in danger is also the surest way to make Cosmos lose her calm. She will be panicked, flustered, and even rash if her daughter or/and husband are in danger. If they are being threatened then she will do all within her power to try and help them, even if they don’t want that help. She is actually extremely stubborn in this matter. If you become a close and dear friend to her she will guard you with all she has.
As a queen for several millennia, she has become extremely diplomatic. However she has not, nor will ever be able to gain the ability to "spin." She relies greatly on the wisdom of her husband and friends and their opinions because she is quick to trust anyone. It is because she trusts and loves very deeply and easily that the logic and clarity her husband and friends provide that help keep her from getting into precarious positions. Cosmos has complete faith and assurance of the good inside of people. This faith can run so deep, in fact, that she will even deny "logic" to try and reach out to the good in people. Cosmos believes that every single person has good in them no matter what the circumstance or the evil they have done. There are only a few exceptions to this belief and those exceptions lie in Chaos and his many children. But in general she believes deep down there is good no matter what. She will fight for this belief and die for it. Even though Cosmos is several thousands of years old, she still acknowledges she makes mistakes and lends on old habits. She still has a massive sweet tooth and still tends to sleep in if she can help it. Neo-Queen Serenity, in fact, is often late to morning meetings and will pretend to be ill if she wants to miss the meeting entirely. She still loves rabbits (this can be seen in the nickname her daughter has as well as her daughter’s own love for rabbits) and she has a great perchance for the romantic. Serenity enjoys romance novels and is very much of the opinion that someone’s true love actually is out there. The queen, in fact, has a large stash of romance novels.
Something many don’t know is that she considers herself a redeemed coward. She ran from her battle with Chaos unable to handle all the loss she suffered. And it wasn’t until her younger self reminded her that those she loved were always with her did she feel redeemed. She does not think it is wise for those to call her brave or faultless. She thinks and knows she has committed many sins and errors in her long life and she is always trying to apologize for them. Her biggest mistake (among the many she keeps to herself) is forgetting the strength of her power and the reason why she is Sailor Cosmos - the ability to sacrifice everything. She feels she cannot be truly redeemed for such cowardice and such a mistake as forgetting her ultimate power.
What is something different about her than her younger forms, is that Serenity has become quite a good actress. For months she pretended to be a four year old girl without giving anything away about what she was up to or why she is around people. Not only can Serenity act but she is able to keep silent about deaths and great battles. She doesn't tap into this need for acting very often as she prefers honesty over all else. At her core, Serenity is still a lot like her younger self. She has deep love and faith in people and will believe in them and give them second and third and even fourth chances. She is welcoming and will give to protection to anyone who asks it of her. She believes that there is good in everyone and that if given the opportunity, people will prove themselves to be kind. She will never believe that hate is the answer to anything and she will preach her belief in love and hope and faith in people. Serenity still has a tremendous fear of being alone and losing her loved ones. It scared her so much in the future, in fact, that it caused her to go back into the past to try and change the outcome of the future.
Serenity may have had a lot of time to refine and mature from her old crybaby klutzy Usagi days, but at her core she is the same.
[Specialties/Abilities]
- Serenity is capable of traveling through time without altering or disrupting it. She is also capable of sending other people through time as well.
- Cosmos is capable of creating an entire palace out of crystal.
- She’s able to fly through space with wings and this ability is able to span across the universe without becoming tired.
- She can successfully wield the lambda crystal but never will, nor even create it because the crystal is formed from all other senshi crystals in the universe.
- Her greatest power is the ability to revive and speed along rebirth although this is only with the assistance of Sailor Saturn when the glaive is to be dropped.
- Cosmos can also heal people with her crystal and also fight with her crystal and staff.
- Unlike her younger and less powerful forms, Cosmos does not actually need to announce her attacks she simply does them.
- If it is needed, she is able to transfer a very little portion of her own power to whomever she pleases be it the earth, her younger self, her husband or senshi. However, this is extremely exhausting for her and will only be used in times of great duress since the power transfer only lasts for a short amount of time.
- Cosmos is able to shift her form into a younger version called "Chibi-Chibi" this form cloaks her powers.
- When Serenity is in her Chibi-Chibi form, she has an umbrella. She uses this umbrella for many things, one of them, being hypnosis and flight.
- Serenity wields what, canonly, is the most powerful crystal in all of existence known as the Ginzuishou (silver crystal) and can also wield the lambda. The ginzuishou is linked to Serenity's emotions and her very body. It will even act without her knowledge sometimes since if she is attacked and badly wounded, it will surround her and protect her so it can begin the process of healing her. The ginzuishou is not known to have any limitations when Serenity is wielding it.
- Serenity can grow white wings
- She can fly through space and half-way across the universe and never get tired... or need a space suit.
- She can breathe on the moon
- The only way for Serenity to get sick is for really strong magic or for the earth to be badly poisoned by an outside source.
For the cap on her powers, even though Serenity wields the strongest crystal in her canon, she has a very strict non-involvement policy so she will never actively "fight" unless Sailor Chaos is brought forth. She also is not able to fully heal anyone with the ginzuishou if they are influenced by an event. She can heal them, even relieve pain but the symptoms will come back.
