It seemed that White Ridge would be the end of him. If he had been anyone else, he would have been tempted to try committing suicide once again. Really, White Ridge was the typical little town, with the typical boring people. There wasn't exactly much to do. The few clubs and restaurants that there were, weren't exactly fun. There was plenty of booze, but when it came to finding little happy pills and magic fairy powder, he had been completely unsuccessful so far. He wasn't one to enjoy or indulge in these kind of happiness inducing products, but hell he needed something to make him feel better or at least stupid enough to forget about this boredom ( ... )

Maybe if she got Daddy something special for Christmas, he'd let her come back home. This place had been tolerable only because of the people she had been meeting, but now that most of them... wait all of them had left, there was nothing really worthing staying here for. Not that there ever had been, but she hadn't minded being able to make some new friends.

She had no idea with her Daddy would want, or even like for Christmas. Daddy never talked about what he liked even when she had asked. He usually was too bust to answer anyway. Her brother always said that Daddy wanted another wife, but couldn't because of them. Rhode didn't know if that was true or not, but getting a new Mommy wasn't really something she'd be able to do herself.

Perhaps one of the few people looking forward to going home and being with her family again, Arietta was strolling along the sidewalks as well, all the while able to think of nothing but next week.

She smiled and loosened the leash she was holding; currently, she was in the middle of walking one of the shelter's dogs. Her new name was Tundra, given by one of the other volunteers, since apparently her original name was 'Tubs' in reference to the dog's pudgy figure. However, Tundra had been abused and was still walking with a slight limp, but a short walk would be good for her rehabilitation, just like Mommy had always done with various animals.

The chubby dog was even starting to move ahead, apparently wanting to investigate the other people around with a sniff.

Even if he was bored to death, Shiba had no desire to go home. As expected his parents were probably hoping that he would, especially considering the yearly big Christmas party that they threw -they needed to show off their prodigy son after all- but he could care less about that fake celebration ( ... )
