A lot of the surrounding area where I live is under mandatory evacuation due to the Kincade fire here.

The part of Rohnert Park where I now live is fine so far, and my house even has electricity. (I check it via my Ecobee thermostat. Oh, hey, the bedroom is 71f...)

I am, however, spending the weekend up at my sister's house in Crescent City, CA.

 My campus hosted a Cyber Camp for high school aged kids again this summer. There were two sessions, a month apart, and the advanced session just finished.

One of the four teams they had this session was comprised of all girls. Their team name ended up being:

I'll be in Scotland shortly for a 10 day trip, spending time in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Anyone have recommendations for places to see?

I'm particularly interested in whisky shops. I know to go to Milroy's in London, but not where to go in Scotland...

 Some of the walls that have gone up lining the freeways around here somewhat recently, like, in the past 10+ years, have had musical notes on them.

This struck me as quaint, mostly, but then I recently had an epiphany.

 On Sunday, I moved from the apartment I've been in for 5 years to a condo, and after 12 hours of herding moving company people in order to get it all done on Sunday, I did work today, and a small bit of cleanup at the apartment, and now here I am back at new home.

 My mom got a pacemaker installed today, because she probably had a heart attack on Tuesday of last week.

The doctor said she did good in surgery, and everything went swimmingly. (This is relevant as they used the "feed it up through a blood vessel in the leg until you get to the heart and install there" method.)
