Good points on Jacob and Christ. And I did love the "looking down" comment that Esau made to him. i did like how this episode humanized both Jacob and Esau, but especially jacob. It makes us realize that he isn't a god or anything, but simply another possible candidate and many came before him.
I remember you saying that about his tapestry.
I meant to talk about the language in the beginning but totally forgot! Thanks for pointing that out!

Thank you! That makes sense as when the Losties met Charles, Ellie, and Richard in the fifties Widmore and the guy he killed were speaking Latin. Juliet said all "Others" spoke Latin. Always enjoy your insights!

Interesting idea about Esau's name; after all, he has no home, no real direction and no real future. If that's not his name, it definitely pertains to him.
