Summary: Kagome wakes up after a wild night
Kagome groaned as she grabbed for her blanket, catching hold of smooth silk and pulling it up over her face to block out the sliver of light that threatened her eyes. The cheerful golden ray was more than she could endure with the painful throbbing in her head.
What had she been thinking? She never indulged in alcohol, at least not to the amount that she had the night before. Maybe it was Sango’s cheerful coaxing to have some fun or maybe it was Miroku’s sage advice that she needed a night off for herself. She couldn’t always play the perfect, poised Miko after all. Or maybe she was just feeling a tad to lonely.
Grumbling she curled in on herself tucking her body closer to a firm warmth. Whatever her thinking, the idea to indulge herself had been a bad one. Her head was throbbing painfully, her limbs felt heavy, and her back ached. She felt completely worn out as if she had been caught up in a furious battle all night long. Alcohol always had a way of stripping her of her inhibitions (among other things) but it must have been one wild night to make her feel so utterly spent.
At least the silk sheets smelled nice. Musky with a hint of spices and herbs, it reminded her of…. Wait… Since when did she have silk sheets? And since when did her bed smell like Sesshoumaru.
Slowly opening one eye she dared the too bright light to peek at her makeshift bed of white fur and silk and the naked Inu-Youkai dozing at her side….
It must have been one VERY wild night.
