Back in the Midwest

I'm in my own apartment, back in the Midwest.

I've never lived alone in my entire life. I'm going through some major, MAJOR, adjustments.
Just became a grandma. I'll have to post pics very soon. Kenny and Kat had a baby girl! I see some big changes happening in my life that will cumulate as my returning to LJ.

Welcome (back) to the midwest! I'm living alone now too, although probably getting a roommate soon. I've learned to like it. I'm getting set in my ways/routines. I watch what I want when I want, I eat what I want when I want, and I only have myself to clean up after.

Divorce. Quit the job I loved. Moved back here to be close to family. Folks needed me. My baby had a baby. And I was pretty miserable in California being so far away.

I'm in culture shock at the moment. Readjusting to weather, people, looking for job, living alone, being a grandma, and wondering what's next.
