My stomach hurts. For some reason, I decided not to eat dinner tonight (some reason being that I've apparently gone mad). I think it might have been because I had piles of homework (literally, there were piles of parchment blanketing the dormitory. Jeanette almost drowned), which is obviously an attempt by Professor Flitwick to cause me to drop ( Read more... )

Oh Audrey! I would have brought you something back, I'm so sorry. I didn't even think of it until just now. Next time you're up to your neck in work, I'll make sure that I bring you something back.

If you still want to sneak down to the kitchens, I'd be happy to go with you.

Thank you, Jeanette.

If you're not tired and don't mind, that would actually be a very good thing.

I don't mind at all. In fact, I'm just a bit hungry myself.

I think Hogwarts has seen enough of fiery anything, so I don't mind at all! Seriously, always glad to help, I remember Charms being rather tricky fifth year, especially during the second half of term. The only thing is, I'll be working down at Hogsmeade during the evenings, so I won't be able to tutor you properly except on weekends, if that's all right. Is there any specific area in Charms you need help with?

Thanks. It just goes right past me.

That's fine by me, unless you mind. I can understand not wanting to lose your weekends. And, yes. I'm having trouble with charms like creating legs on teacups, and, ironically, charms in the vein of the type that silencing charms fall in as well.

Nah, with the end of term coming up so soon, I don't do anything particularly exciting with my weekends anyway.

Are you having trouble more with the theory, or the wandwork, or ...? But, ah, so you're basically having trouble doing any charm that involves altering living objects? Right, that pulls in a little bit of Transfigurations, but not much ... and really, I'm better at performing the countercharm to the silencing spell, having practised it far too much, but I'll have a look at your textbook and see what I can do. What time and day would be convenient for you?

Oh, good (well, maybe not for you).

The theory. And, yeah, or almost any. Or they work about half-way. Thanks, and how about Sunday? Afternoon, I guess, though I'm not really picky.
