The Two Rivalries
Black Order Inc.
An organization of volunteer workers, banding together to stop the new Maker from carrying out his plans. It consists of a Science Division, an Intelligence Division, and the Executor Units. Headquarters is located in London, England, with multiple branches throughout the world.
The Science Division is in charge of the experiments and searching for new ways to harness the power of the Heart. After years of toil and research, they have discovered how to create new Hearts from fragments of those excavated from ruins. The head of the Science Division, Komui Li, is also the president of the toy company connected to Black Order Inc. used as a source of revenue. Surprisingly, his rampaging robots and mechanical trinkets are a huge hit with this generation's children, especially in the United States.
The Intelligence Division is in charge of scouting for information, not only from rival toy companies, but also spying on the Millennium Company itself. There is a branch in China, France, Italy, England, and South America. A branch was intended to be raised in Japan, but construction failed when the site was sabotaged by Millennium workers. The head of the Intelligence Division, Bak Chan, currently works at the Asia Branch in China, and also leads the research regarding Keychains.
The Executor Units are the bodyguards, the hunters, the do-ers-- the ones who execute the actions. Each Unit is a team of two or more individuals, often picked according to complimenting capabilities and, if necessary, compatible personalities. The Executor Units are also in charge of managing the toy store on any given day, since volunteers are short at hand. Besides this, they are responsible for locating and retrieving Keychains.
Millennium Company
The president of the Millennium Company is the current Maker. It is a corporation intent on manufacturing tainted toys that will steadily corrupt and destroy the world. Information on the Millennium Company is scarce, though most of their workers are reported to be operating under the Akuma Unit. Unreported sections of this company are the Skull Units and the Egg.
The Akuma Units are, to put it simply, the foot soldiers. They do everything from assembling toys, managing factories, shipping imports and exports, even selling the toys in stores. They aren't so stupid as go leave tracks behind-- all Akuma Units work under false names and have connections in the police, the government, and among the commoners. It is nearly impossible to catch them in the act.
The Skull Units are in charge of creating the Keychains. They are few and rare, located mainly in Japan along the borders of the United States. Like the Akuma Units, the Skull Units also operate under false names.
The Egg is the section with the least amount of information, if any at all. It is rumored to be the 'melting pot' that beings the creation of the Keychains, the origin of The Maker's magic, a source of nuclear energy-- many rumors, but no truths, especially none pertaining to the location.
The Ark is the most widely used (and most secretive) transportation unit for the Millennium Company. It is a massive cargo ship built with the latest technology, radar, tracking systems, engines, and a faceted design to make it untrackable to radar waves. Despite its name, however, it does not traverse over the seas; it moves through the air. Right above the clouds, in fact. Its white coloring lets it blend in, though it can readily change colors if clouds are dark with rain. The Ark allows the Millennium Company to quickly transport goods to any location, though it uses so much energy that it is rarely put into action and is currently sitting at the sea bottom off the coast of Japan.
