I am in love! I have just bought a compound bow yeterday. It's silver and shiny and feels so natural to shoot. I love it so much. Now i have no student loan left, but it was worth it. She's one of the most beatiful things I've ever seen. It wasn't that I took one look at her and fell in love, it was that I spent the afternoon trying her out and ( Read more... )

One thing you can try is a longrod I yoinked from Miles. Its fairly short (too short for my recurve) and very light. But works nicely on a compound

Well the reason I didn't buy one or a release aid, was so I could try a few different ones to see what suits me best before I buy one.

i dont like Selene. there was a character in grandia 2 called selene who scared the shit out of me, i had nightmares about her.

Arcadia is a nice name, it reminds me of my beloved city of Archades. i think out of the 3 i'd vote for Arcadia.

Freya is also a nice name but i think it sounds more sword-y than bow-y.

if i had a bow i would call it Yoichi; the best bow in several games in the FF series is called a Yoichi Bow, and it reminds me of Yoichi Wada, president of Square.

You know, I hadn't thought of that, but I guess that Freya does sound like more of a sword name.

Yeah. Most of the Norse Pantheon lends itself more to swords, hammers and spears than it does bows.

Hmm, Artemis, perhaps?

From a random web page:

"The children of Zeus and Leto, Artemis and Apollon were born on the island of Delos. Both are associated with the bow. Apollon is said to use the curved bow and Artemis uses the silver bow."
