Kensi woke slowly, shifting uncomfortably as she tried to figure out where she was. A chuckle from Deeks quickly reminded her and for a moment she wanted to die. Crying on Deeks and then kissing him. She wasn’t sure how her Christmas had come to that.

“Good afternoon sleeping beauty.” Deeks said with a grin. “Come on. We’re going to the beach.”

“What?” She asked as she sat up and shifted off of Deeks.

“Beach. Now.” Deeks said with a grin.

She rolled her eyes but stood. “What are we doing at the beach?”

Deeks shrugged. “Going for a walk, play in the surf. Get some sun. Maybe find you some cotton candy at the pier.”

Kensi grinned. “Well since there’s cotton candy.”

“Go change.” He said. “Get one of your cute little bikini’s on or something.”

Kensi couldn’t help but smile at Deeks as she went into the house to change. It was unseasonably warm for Christmas day, even for LA and while she wasn’t sure it was bikini weather, she decided to appease Deeks by slipping hers on under at long sleeve tee and board shorts.

He whistled when she walked out of the bedroom and she blushed. Closing her eyes she tried to talk herself into getting her emotions under control. This was not a date. This was Deeks. Her partner that she wasn’t romantically interested in even though she had kissed him, even though she wanted to kiss him again.

She allowed him to usher her out the door and she smiled as he touched her back as he closed the door behind them.

Kensi was starting to think she would never understand Deeks. After a few hours, a run in the surf, and some cotton candy that she had grudgingly agreed to share he had looked at his watch and announced that was enough.

After a quick trip to pick up his car, she was surprised to find that he was planning on following her back to her place, but she wasn’t going to complain. Even if it was Deeks, and even if she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with him, it was better than spending the day alone.

By the time they got of their vehicles at her place, he was starting to look more like a wiggly puppy than usual.

“What is wrong with you?” She asked as he shifted on his feet beside her. “Do you need to go to the bathroom? Because if you do I’d rather you wait until you get inside.”

He shook his head. “I’m fine.”

She shrugged and slid her key in the door. Turning it, she found it unlocked. “Deeks, you locked up didn’t you?”

“Why?” He asked, trying to suppress a grin.

“Deeks.” She warned.

“Come on.” He took her hand and pushed the door open.

Kensi followed him in and gasp. The hallway was littered with gold wrapped chocolate coins. As she walked further in, she saw candy bars covering every surface in her living room, and an assortment of Hostess Snack Cakes in her kitchen. Her Christmas tree which had only had lights on it earlier was now decorated with candy canes, popcorn, and Hershey’s kisses.

“Deeks.” She said turning to him. “What? How?”

“I called in a few favors.” He squeezed her hand. “Like it?”

She nodded, and gently touched a candy bar. “It’s the best thing ever.”

She turned to Deeks and smiled up at him. As he leaned closer to her, she didn’t pull away, and instead stepped into his embrace and kissed him firmly on the lips.

She didn’t fight him when he picked her up and carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed. And she didn’t stop him when he pushed her shirt up and placed a kiss on her stomach she giggled at the feel of his whiskers on her skin.

He slid up and on the bed beside her and grinned. “Now it is a happy Christmas?”

“Almost.”

He grinned. “What would make it happy?”

She rolled against him and kissed him. Closing her eyes, she lost herself in the sensation of his lips on hers, his hands in her hair, and her fingers tracing a path along his back.

He pulled away first as her fingers reached under his shirt.

“What are we doing Fern?”

“Do you really not know Deeks?”

He laughed, “I know what we’re doing. But what about after?”

She rolled away. “Is this the part where you turn into the clingy girl in the relationship?”

“So we have a relationship?” He asked as he pulled her back to him.

“I didn’t say that.”

“Yes you did Fern. You called me the girl in the relationship.”

She shrugged. Closing her eyes she snuggled against him, considering what he was asking. This was her partner. Deeks. Who had covered her house in sugar and then carried her into the bedroom.

“Do you want to be the girl?”

“Do you want it to be a relationship?”

She shrugged and kissed him. “Do we have to call it that?”

He shook his head. “We can call it anything you want.”

“I want you.” She said softly, meeting his eyes.

“For how long?”

She shrugged. “As long as you can stand me.”

He nodded. “Good enough.”

She grinned as he rolled over and pinned her under him. She only squirmed for a moment before his lips met hers and she got lost in the moment. His hands roamed her body, pulling her shirt over her head and tossing it to the floor. He made quick work of her bikini top and it ended up on the floor as well. His hair and whiskers ticked a path to her stomach, and her abs twitched as he placed a soft kiss at the waistband of her pants.

His clothes soon joined hers on the floor. Her senses were overwhelmed by Deeks. Marty Deeks. He knew what she wanted what she needed, without her saying a word. She sighed contently in his arms, unsure that she ever wanted to be anywhere else.

He softly kissed her forehead and pulled her closer to him. “Now it is a happy Christmas?”

She nodded against his chest. “Yes.”
