Well here's to conclude my 10 day summer vacation at home. Accomplished lots of much-needed R&R. I raced a taxi cab tonight. is that weird? He seriously fucking raced me from a stop light.

Also, War of the Worlds sucks balls. it has one of those "You've gotta be shittin me" endings. Tom Cruise's role could've easily been replaced by a C-list celebrity and the little girl was just pissing me off. also, there were no hot chicks.

Shit I'm havin a good ol' time down here in FL so far. I went to a sports bar tonight and seen some titties...and some ass...and I'm a little intoxicated still but damn they had a redneck band there who sings not only original music and classic rock covers, but they cover rap songs (Drop It Like It's Hot, for example). This weekend I spontaneously decided to fly up to Cedar Rapids to hang with an old friend (whom i haven't seen in 2 years) from tech school and watch him get married. It may not sound it, but damn those folks in Iowa know how to get down. I found out where I'll be deploying to this fall. I'm not going to just a random sandbox base somewhere in the middle east -- I'm going to the heart of it all: Yes kids, I'll be spending my holiday season with the holly jolly and wonderfully brown denizens of Tikrit, Iraq.

Wow I found out they're making another American Pie movie called American Pie: Band Camp. And evidently it's gonna be pretty lame since it's coming straight to DVD. What a shame, I loved the first two, and the third mainly provided closure. Whatever happened to "quitting while you're ahead"?

Yep...so uh...my deployment date got pushed back to October 1st now...still don't know where I'm going...fantastic...
