• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions
1. What is your greatest accomplishment?
Anna, of course. :)
2. Favorite comfort food?
Chocolate. What else is there? Specifically, Hershey's Bars and Steak and Shake Double Chocolate Fudge Milkshakes.
3. Who has most influenced your life?
This is a tough one. One of the biggest ones, that made me want to be a teacher(which I never did), was Ms Sorrell, my third grade teacher in McCaysville. She was the typically sweet, nice, small town teacher that you might see in a Hallmark movie of the week, but she was real. Mr. Key, my biology teacher in my Senior year, only further reinforced my desire to teach. He talked to us like adults and not kids, and really respected us as human beings.
I think my Dad might be another big one. He was always such a people person and never met a stranger - he would talk to people everywhere he went... consequently, as a kid, I thought my dad knew everyone in the world.
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
See # 2. And Mel Brooks movies.
5. You life has changed a lot. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully still growing and becoming even stronger than I am now, emotionally at least. And talking about how much of a blast ALEP 2 was at the time ;)
. What is it about Eowyn's character that draws you to her? I was drawn to her instantly. It's her innocence, her heartache, her strength of will and mind and character, her beauty that not even she can see, her bravery in the face of terror.
2. What what your greatest experience at a Dragon Con (or ALEP, if you wish)?
DragonCon - 2004. The big LOTR year. 50-plus people in LOTR costumes standing for hours in the Lobby getting our pictures taken. Re-enacting Weathertop; "You bow to no one"; Dustin's Black Gate Speech. DragonCon 2008 - Sitting across from Brad Dourif outside of Starbucks at the Marriott and talking about the Con and everything else in between. And having him remember me and my white Eowyn dress.
ALEP - Too many to mention. The Prologue. "Yes." The Hall of Fire. The Party. The Speech. And the friendships.
3. When was your first Dragon Con, and tell me a memory you have about it that you particularly cherish?
2002. Didn't wear any costumes at all. No big O.o moment there, other than the general feel of O.o at all the people. 2003 was the year AOME started, and that is my best memory.
4. What is your favorite movie? book? food? and drink?
LOTR, LOTR, Spaghetti (and Steak and Shake burgers with grilled onions), and Coke.
5. If you could live anywhere, where would that be, and why?
I know that many of my f-list might say New Zealand to this answer, but it would not be so for me. Oh sure, it's a great place and I would love to see it. But I want to live in Rome, Italy. I went there in High School, and it is a place I will never, ever forget. The beauty, the history, the liveliness still echo in my heart 20-plus years later.
