That's pretty cool that he offered you a job there :) Even if it's just something to make some money with, that's not so bad to do until you decide what you really want to do.

If it's full-time, great. If not, it's a great thing to take while you look for the best job, as part-time staff can presumably go more easily (and there's much less paperwork around this in America than most nations, I'd assume).
