my minds been fractured for years, I wouldnt mind parting with the remains for a bit of happiness.
As odd as it is a waitress told me the same thing ive been spouting off for years, if not living by. "life is very short, death is very long. we should try and be happy whenever we can now."
There is only ONE thing in this life that is truly guaranteed, it will end. None of us know for sure what happens when you stop living, if theres an afterlife, or if youve merely been demoted to worm food.
We shouldnt count on things being "good" and "fun" later on, or possibly in the next life. We should try and make our lives good now, because thats the only time we're guaranteed to have.
The problem with vague statements is that they imply a concept that is understood differently by every reader. If I were to take "mind" as "sanity", then I would have to wonder just how sane I am right now, or what the point of sanity is if it keeps you from achieving your dreams. And if I were to take "dreams" as "goals related to long-term happiness", then I would have to wonder which of my dreams are altered by a loss of sanity.
Of course, if I took "mind" to mean "clarity of thought", then I'd say no in a heartbeat :P
