Ok, so after a lot of thinking...a LOT of thinking...I've decided that I am going to do Pride one last year. I am going to march Mello. And this year I get to leave my shoes on the field! Yay!
Well, because of the Reno trip, I got sick and missed a test in Journalism, and missed the deadline to retake it. So that's why I stopped going. There was no way, after missing that test and an abstract, that I was going to pass. That class has now set me back by a semester. So I am looking at graduating Fall 2007 instead of Spring. So, what's one more year of Pride? I don't know. I may regret it. Oh well.
MELLO? If you want to have fun, UPGRADE, not a lateral transition. LOW BRASS... March a Euph. guaranteed to have a blast 100% of the time, and give you a bit of a work-out too.
I'm assuming this is Collective...if so, well, even if it isn't, low brass would be downgrading. Almost as bad as percussion! ;0) I played mello in high school and loved it. So I told Steph that if I came back it would be on either baritone/euph or mello. Seeing as I haven't gone to the gym at all this summer, marching euph or baritone would kill me!
Good job on the ID. to each his/her own, but it is not a coincidence that typically the oldest people in pride are in the lower end of the score, because they have the most fun. Flutes usually have a turnover of about 1.5 years and so forth down the scale.. Percussionists just never graduate. :) I heart HOT MOMS!
