I'm teetering on the edge of the Weight Watchers bowl. It's evidently working for you - are you doing it online or going to the meetings (I'm sooo not a meeting person). So you'd say 'thumbs up'?

Gaslight romance? Yes please. I've never read any, but it certainly sounds interesting. I'll be looking for the linkage in the future.

Go you! Rah!Rah!Rah!

I do the meetings, but only because my workplace sponsors them, so it's just a matter of meeting in our breakroom for 30 minutes every Thursday. If I had to carve out time from my schedule and drive to a meeting? No way.

A friend of mine does hers on-line and really likes it. She looks great too with her weight loss.

It's new to me too. From what I read about the interpretations of gaslight romance, if you've read Bram Stoker's Dracula, you've read a type of gaslight romance. Once I'm done, I'll post the link, along with the link to the list of other participating authors. It's always a fun event.

LOL! Thank you!

It is SO COOL to see you back.

Glad things are going well for you. I really must go back on WW - it worked really well for me pre-Wriggler. You'll have to post your before & after photos.

Thanks, Spike! I've been trying to post more often, but my schedule has just been so crazy, it's hard sometimes to keep up.

The WW program so far has been easy to stay on and stay motivated. I think they've hit upon the trick that keeps you from feeling deprived and giving up. I'll definitely post pics once the 16 weeks is done. I'm hoping there's a noticeable difference. :)

I actually had to consult Google about gaslight romance, I didn't know what it was, but it sounds interesting and it'll be fun to read :-) Good luck with writing, and everything else too!

I stumbled across the term while updating myself on the steampunk evolution in Romancelandia. I really like the term.

Thank you, sweetie!

I'm tapping away like mad on it. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and I'm a sloooow writer.

Yay for the bonus and Weight Watchers!

I didn't realize 'gaslight romance' was an actual sub-genre term and had to look up the specifics, too. It sounds right up my alley! I've had steampunk on the brain lately, for some reason. It looks like fun to write.

I didn't either until recently. I think the lines of distinction between the two subgenres are a little blurred, but over all I can see some differing components.

Really? Cool. I'd love to see what you would do with a steampunk story.

Steampunk has gotten so popular and covers such a wide area that I'm not surprised people are trying to find a way to distinguish between all the sub-genres! I think what draws me to it is the combination of history and sci-fi/fantasy. When you throw in the possibility of including historical characters like Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper, well... the plot bunnies get restless. :)
