That really wasn't the best scene. The best scenes for me were: when Ray tlaks about his father as they move the pool table, when Fraser is arrested when he's visiting Dief - the looks he and Ray have, when Ray bails Fraser out and Fraser tells him to take the deal. Another would be at the end when Ray shoots Fraser.
All of those are much better, more powerful, than that that scene.
when Ray talks about his father as they move the pool table
I really love love the scene! I adore the expression on Fraser'sface when he listens to Ray's story.

The music is stunning! The emotion that the scene had was too powerful for words. VS has so many good scenes so, I don't decide what is the best scene.
indeed. It gets me all choked up. I'm not usually an easily-choked-up sort of person, though.
As are the moments where there's silence.
Totally agree with you. I cannot help admiring Paul Haggis who is genius about the use of silence. Another good moment that popped into my mind is Del and his father talking from nearly the ending of GOTW. No music and just dialogue which was brilliant.
The best scene was where they come to arrest Fraser and he's putting the note on Dief's cage.
Indeed! The camera angles, actings and Sarah McLachlan music EVERYTHING was done really really well in these scenes. I haven't seen VS these days and while it does hurt, it's a fantastic pair of episodes.
No. It's a good scene, but it's not even in the top half, really. My vote goes to Fraser leaving Victoria to run after Ray after he forgot Ray's party. Even before I "slashed", that screamed "superior relationship" to me. Not to mention: "You should take the deal."/"Hey, Benny. Not in your lifetime."

I agree with you. I love Fraser's word "You know I think there are certain things you live to regret.. losing your friendship would be one of them."
Not to mention: "You should take the deal."/"Hey, Benny. Not in your lifetime."
Yes, that is a great scene! I could hear that Ray's word was the unconditional love of him.
VS has so many good scenes so it's tough for me to choose the best one.

And the double-interrogation.
And Ray telling his father to go (back) to hell.

I'm partial to Fraser's haunting vision/rememberance of Victoria with Possession playing.
I agree with you! The first time I ever saw the scene, I was completely blown away, how well the music accompanies it.
the Fraser trashing Ray's house
Very heartbreaking and powerful moments. sobs.
