Pompom rooster - tutorial included

Inspited by Tsubasa Kuroda pompom brooches, I made this rooster as a Christmas decor. Rooster is a sign of the year in Chinese calendar, New Chinese year will begin on the 28th of January. So, I'm ready =)

Christmas in a nutshell 2
My best - in my opinion - Christmas in a nutshell so far. A huuuuge walnut shell, almost 5 cm (2") high.
I began with a fireplace and totally ran into bricks and wood place and such... and didn't notice how 1:144 became 1:100 or 1:96, so it's slightly larger than the previous ones in scale too.
