i'd say i only have a passing interest in cheese, the various varieties and circumstances and history of production. i'm charmed by the fact that samuel pepys had a taste for parmesan, and buried it with his wine to protect it from the great fire of london, since at the time it must have been worth a king's ransom...
but if you think it will kill off harry potter, bring on the gorgonzola!
