Why can't anyone just be happy with me about this? I'm all bouncy because this actually means something much bigger than just that a nano particle drilled a hole in a bacteria cell and cut up the contents, thus killing the cell.
The bacteria can't become resistant because none of them can survive their little cell insides being cut up and their cell wall destroyed. The nano particles are so small your immune system couldn't even register that they exist (nano sized things have already been shown to not be seen the human immune system). The nano particles self-assembly and are 'killed' with an enzyme. They are biodegradable. The nano particle can go on to the next cell after killing the first one. Oh, and they can't mutate.
Yes, new technology. Yes, it'll need tests and trails. Yes, it'll be huge costs at first (just like anything else. Although, this is the same company that can print nano cells, soooo *shrug*).
I get that everyone is mistrustful now-a-days, but can't someone be happy with me? Just for a little while? Everyone I've told either doesn't understand how it works or just doesn't believe me at all or is completely skeptical. I just wanted someone to go 'oh, the possibilities.' Instead of making me want to cry (that might be partly because I planted blueberry plants earlier tonight).
This is the news story with the pictures of the before and after for a bacteria:
Bludgeoning bacteria instead of drugging it If you are going to pick it apart go do it on the article's page. I've had enough of people picking it apart at me. I just wanted to share and go 'cool' for all of two seconds. Please? Somebody?
