the dollar store is a wicked place to get cutlery and other ridiculously cheap housewares. i'm glad your car turned out ok. let me know what they decide about using my apartment, if they are worried about the area though, honestly i have been living here for 3 1/2 years and it is no more sketchy than anywhere else in toronto, seriously, i have never had a break in or anything like that and i know tons of other students living in "safe" student neighbourhoods who have had WAY more problems with crime and violence and sketchy shit. anyway, that's my rant about the stigma against jane and finch. good luck with all your work, i hope i see you again one day!
ok thats true i forgot about that. i'm not saying NO sketchy shit goes on here, that would just be silly, but i really don't think it's less safe to live or walk around here than rexdale or anywhere else really. and also i've had way more problems dealing with stupid drunk students walking around at night then like, gangs or homeless people.
