'Twas a decent weekend. I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to get done, though. I had planned to work on my new tattoo series for photography Saturday, but I ran into scheduling conflicts. Friday was pretty great. One of the photos I had entered in the CASU (Carroll Art Student Union) Spring Show took first place in the photography

Some people were thrown out of the bar the previous weekend. Stories differ greatly on what happened: the people thrown out said that they were simply hugging and that the bartender sexually discriminated against them (it was two girls who were complaining, though they were part of a larger mixed group), the bartender claims that several members in the group were gratuitously making out (at first just hetero), and were warned. Later two girls began to do the same thing, and she kicked them out, with some choice words to send them on their way ("Get the fuck out of here."). The people protesting, who only numbered two strong, were there to paint the bar as discriminatory against gays. Only the people who were there can know for sure what happened, but it says a lot that the people that showed up (out of the ten or so that were kicked out) were only there for the last 15 minutes of the altercation, and that several gay members of the campus showed up in support of the bar.
