Yea, so I was at work last night, and a guy came through my line with a PS2. I run his credit card through, everything is going fine, and I look at the back and there's no signature. I ask to see an ID, and he's forgotten it. That's understandable, but I inform him that we're going to have to return the product immediately since he can't provide ( Read more... )

Oh my Gosh, I can't believe they let him go. Wouldn't you contact the credit card to see if they have a complaint of it missing and or the credit card company could contact the card holder?

The most we could do was inform the CC company of the possible security problem, and make a note of his face, to deny him future purchases with the card. It would have taken too long to verify if it was indeed stolen.
