Gramma Week

Gramma is a poet! ♥

Sunday, it started off with "Cookie"
The neighbour's dog we walked,
Then over to see Sylvia
In hospital, where we talked.

Monday we picked up Ashley
And to Western we did go,
Where Hilary was ready
To give us the BIG SHOW.

She treated us at lunchtime
And took us to her dorm
We walked all through the campus (Thanks Hilary)
In spite of a big rainstorm.

After showering and shampooing
We ended up at Smith's
Where Brian entertained six "women" (Janice, Gramma, Heather, Breanne, Nicole, Ashley)
We're not tellin' you any myths.

We then perused the albums
Followed with some games,
We gabbed and gabbed and gabbed some more
These six "dizzy dames".

Tuesday BJ was the chauffeur
And drove us in his van
To the pretty Port of Dover
Boy, he sure was "the man".

Then we continued on to Turkey Point
And then the Point called Long,
All the while we were in the van
You could hear them sing "a song".

The Tundra Swans were in plain view
Even though the wind was cold,
Nicole and BJ had a race
Felt the ice on lake we're told.

Our last stop was at Triple C
To view this lovely camp
We didn't notice going in
The road was VERY damp.

When BJ tried to turn around
He did it WAY too slow,
And in the mud we sank so deep
He couldn't get the van to go.

We pushed and shoved forever
At least it seemed to us,
Then we called on trusty Brian
And he came without a fuss.

He brought his truck and tow rope
To help in our predicament,
Thank-you, thank-you Brian
For coming without lament.

Wednesday a local artist
Gave no reason for complaint,
When (A.Y.) Jim Jackson
Showed his talents with "the paint". (Thanks A LOT Jim)

He was very patient with them
Certainly wasn't in a rush
When he set them up at easel
To demonstrate "his brush". (Even took them for lunch at Pizza Hut)

The Giant Tiger down the street
Was the BIG shopping spree,
The girls came home with merchandise
That was ALMOST free.

The Erie Beach in Dover
Was where we had our fill of fish
And of course the celery bread
And Breanne got her wish.

Thursday it was off to Lime Ridge
At the Mall to shop,
To meet Mom with friend and Kendra
And then go home to drop. (At least Gramma did) ( Breanne had to go to work for 3:00 p.m.)

I think we had a week of fun
With Nicole and granddaughter Breanne
So it's an "Open Invitation"
"To come whenever you can".
