- I use the phrase "neoki ga warui" when speaking about myself in Japanese all the time, but I've never found a perfect English equivalent. I suppose it translates best as "a bad riser" but it seems like there's more to it than that.. Plus, it's just easier to say in Japanese; I kinda prefer saying that to "I find it hard to get out of bed in the ( Read more... )

I love "chotto" too! It's sooo cute. And I love that it can be used in so many different situations. I can use it to turn someone down! Lol.

"Tanpopp" is cute~ I had to watch an old Japanese movie called "Tanpopo" and I always think of ramen shops because of it.

I really hate the word "kawaii" because I've heard so maaaany other people use it but end up saying "kowai". Ugh, and I'm usually the one that's the most confused. ; - ;

I feel the same about kawaii, but in my case because it IS overused and mostly by fan-girls.

And about some other Japanese words in which is hard to remember where is o and where ō.
at least for me.
but it's not that I don't like them...ehm....

"chotto" is cute! ♥
I love saying "chotto matte kudasai" lol
but it looks like tomato, in my language ;; so they say "tomato wut/"

"Kawaii" resembles those hard-headed otaku and fan-girls. ): They are the ones that overuse it.
Not to mention that the pronounce is irritating >_>
