Interesting song. It rather sounds like something from the 60s/70s - so I can see why it'd appeal to you so much. *s*
Don't put yourself down ("old dog, new tricks"), either! A lot is about attitude; if you tell yourself "I can't do this, I will fail", then of course you will indeed fail. That doesn't mean that everything will just work out magically if you don't tell yourself that, but if you invest time, get to know the program, work on a melody/track and don't expect it to be perfect right away, and if you don't pressure yourself, I think there is no reason why you should have to expect to fail.
They all tend to be like that. :) Another thing about them that I didn't mention is that they are usually composed of notes that are entirely within one octave. Here's another example. This is even closer to the kind of tune I hear. (Minus the marimba, of course.;) The simple melody, the repetition, notes within a single octave, and voices singing words that can't quite be discerned...
It's the ending of "Holidays" from the Beach Boys' album, "Smile". The very end is the most similar. Just voices, with essentially no instrumentation at all...
Anytime! I'm healthy again and got quite an appetite, too, so that'd be fantastic! And this time I'll write down the instructions for GB so I don't forget them again. ^^
Had another music dream last night, but it was strictly Gloria Estefan-type stuff. Meh, disappointing. ;)
Reminds me of a dream I had a few months ago in which I was working in a warehouse with the radio playing over the tannoy system. Fleetwood Mac's "Gypsy" came on at one point and I was really enjoying it. In the dream, I was thinking, "Nice one! I'll enjoy working to this!" When I woke up, I immediately went to YouTube and listened to "Gypsy".
