Zootopia

I don't have enough superlative adjectives in my vocabulary to describe Zootopia.

One noun will suffice, though - masterpiece.

It is a furry parable that will make you laugh, break your heart, inspire you, and give you hope that we all may yet be redeemed.

Without a doubt, one of the best movies I have ever seen.

I'm still overwhelmed by the experience. I must have wiped tears off my face at least a dozen times while watching it, and they're still flowing as I write this...

Love your icon for this post (Eagle Scout here).

I don't know when I'll go see it. I refuse to support the overpriced ($11 matinee (before 5pm) & $14 evening) theater within walking distance. The next nearest theater is a 20 mile drive ($9 (before 6pm) and $11.50), and will be swamped with kids, even at the late showing. My fav. theater is 35 miles away and affordable. How affordable? I can get popcorn, soda, and evening admission for less than the place within walking distance's matinee price. Alas they're only showing it in 2D, but on two screens. Again, that one will be swamped with kids all weekend. I'm not a crowds person. So, as tough as it may be, I may wait a week or two before going to see it. And I'll probably make the long drive. Or if I'm actually awake enough tonight, I might go to a late show 20 miles up the road. I have my doubts. I'm as diurnal as my fursona.

*nods* We really lucked out. There were only a dozen people in the whole theater for the afternoon 3D matinee yesterday, and only two well-behaved kids. I imagine the place was packed for the 9PM 3D showing, though. I'm like you. I don't like crowded theaters at all.

I am going to see it on Wednesday or Thursday this coming week, I hope I will like it. People said Inside Out was like the best animated film ever in recent years but I wasn't that impressed with it. It was pleasant enough, but not THAT great. XD

I think Big Hero 6 is a really underrated Disney film,no one talks about that one much at all.

I know you'll love it when you see it. Everyone will love it when they see it!

I liked Big Hero 6 but didn't really see anything particularly fresh or groundbreaking with it. Standard low risk Disney. Not that standard or low risk is bad.

Loved the artwork though.

I will say that its a "fan-favorite" in my book, but the way I see it, its ways away from becoming a masterpiece.
In my opinion, because of the fact that the movie was set in modern times, its full of "soon to be dated in about 10-20 years" references
