Chapter IV : The Misunderstood
Inoo didn't know why he told Takaki all those private matters; nevertheless, he felt better. Takaki is just a stranger, up until then. The said stranger left the cafe first while he was still sitting there staring at his palm, his cup and whatever is in front of him. Then he sensed his mobile phone vibrating. His heart was thumping loud when he saw what is being displayed on the screen.
“YABU CALLING” blinks many times. Inoo gaped at it, afterwards he pressed the green button.
“Moshi-moshi? Yabu-kun?”
“No, it's me.”
“H-hikaru-kun,” Inoo's eyes widen.
“What have I done to you to make you do this to me?”
“Hika-”
“Shh. Let me talk. I don't understand what is going on. I... I'm outside.”
Inoo was about to get up from the chair, but Hikaru stops him.
“Don't. I don't want you to see me right now. I'm at a very terrible state.”
“Hikaru-kun...”
“I saw Takaki came out from there moments ago. Hell, I saw you talking to him in a friendly way!”
“He was just advising me, Hikaru-kun... I-”
“I don't care anymore, Inoo-kun. I don't know what is going on your mind, but I guess this is how it will be.”

Inoo couldn't do anything. He was relieved, but at the same time he felt terrible. Although Hikaru was assuming the wrong thing, at least it ended. Their 'false' relationship ended. He doesn't have to lie to himself anymore. He swiftly cycled back home and lay himself on his bed. Soon he felt a vibration again.
“Inoo-kun, I'm sorry about what happened a while ago.” The voice left Inoo at ease that he let out a soft sigh.
“It's alright, Yabu-kun. I think it's better this way.”
“I was about to bring him back home, but he kinda caught sight of you from afar...”
“Is he still there?”
“No. He went back home already. And I'm outside your house.”
Inoo perked his head out of his window. He spotted a tall figure standing in front of their gate. He quickly ran down and opened the gate for Yabu to come in. He brought Yabu to his bedroom so that Yabu's presence would not disturb his family. They didn't say anything for a few minutes. Inoo was gazing at the ceiling while Yabu stared outside the window.
“Inoo-kun... What's the matter?” Yabu finally asked.
“Nothing. I guess there is no need to continue something that isn't there anymore.”
“You mean you don't love Hikaru anymore? After almost a year of being together and now you suddenly decided to cease loving him?”
“You won't understand!” Inoo raised his voice. “You'll never understand.”
“Explain.”
“It's hard-”
“Simplify it then.”
“I can't. I'm sorry Yabu-kun, but you must leave.”
Yabu left Inoo's house empty-handed, disappointed and sad.
