That's pretty damn good. Good start. It's different to see you write through the eyes of a girl...I guess it would be cool to write it from that perspective. I also like the cutting off the sentences at the end of some paragraphs but yeah its a good start maybe say more about her feelings...I just finished reading a teenage book and i didn't think it had enough feeling in it. That's why I like first person's...but good start

I have recently discovered the benefits of writing in the first-person, and it has done wonders to clear up my writer's block (my inherent laziness-eh, not so much...). I'll have to share a part of my "strung-out, emo teenager" story with you in the future. I find it enhances the piece so much if you can try your best to use a recognizable line-of-thought process to writing in the first-person. In my case the narrator is batshit insane and goes on tangents with little regard for stream-of-concious. If that's sounding familiar to you, then you've probably read The Catcher in the Rye.

Yes. Salinger has taken over my life.

I wrote this when I was supposed to be writing my allusion paper a few weeks ago. It should be expanded soon, but I guess it's fine by itself for the moment (it isn't really supposed to be the beginning of the story anyway, interestingly enough ( ... )
