A ditched run

First up Leeds lost 3-0 in a disaster, I'm dissapointed, still stuck with internet radio for Leeds games, still not as bad as I felt after the A-League GF.

I stood up to get ready for my run today and my knee was feeling a bit awkward so I decided not to risk a run and got back to work on my assignment, which is going well.

Omni - I ran through your lead up to Canberra, and I can tell you why you did 5 hours 50. You simply don't run enough. There are very few long runs, and many missed runs. You seem to come up with a lot of excuses to not run. You can probably get away this if you're only running 10 to 15km runs, but not for something like the marathon where you're going to get found out after 20km every time.

If you're serious about the longer stuff, you need to come up with a program, and stick to it, making accomodations in the rest of your schedule to fit it in. I realise you're at uni, but many others are fitting in full time jobs, raising families and studying, so it can certainly be done.

It's good that you're doing speed work, but it really needs to be supported by regular sessions through the week and a decent (15-25km) long run on Sundays. Otherwise you'll never make any progress.
