“It’s just aspirin, Max; I -- ”
Max looks at you, anger flush in his cheeks, curls still wet from the shower dripping in his eyes, and you are afraid he might throw the bottle with the transfigured label at you, though the glass smashes against the floor, instead.
“Don’t lie to me, Remus!” he screams, and you flinch away at the sound as the pills scatter across the floor. “Don’t you lie to me!”
Chest heavy with breathing, he looks at you, like he is the next to break.
“It’s just aspirin,” you whisper in English, and begin to cry.
