you need to read the book. it's much better.

Brandon's parents had to listen to me rant about it too. They hadn't read the book. I had recently and Brandon several years ago. They ruined it. ESPECIALLY the end. I mean keeping the dog throughout the movie for companionship I could understand since it is a movie and very visual but the rest they screwed up horribly. They even changed the meaning of the title!
