Where The Sky Can't Rain on Me Anymore...
The last two weeks have been HELL at school. They started out with me learning about two of my kids (some of my sweetest girls) getting in a car accident last week. One of them has a severed spine, just weeks after she moved to town. Yeah. She's 14. The other one is just bruised, but wracked by guilt.
Then I found out that another one of my kids is going to court over threatening to hit me. It's not his first offense, so they're talking about trying him as an adult. And before anybody gets all bleeding heart over him, this kid has intimidated and bullied his way through life so far. He needs this lesson.
Lastly, seven (SEVEN!!) of our kids jumped one single kid as we were leaving the outside lawn today. It's testing week, so we allow them about 40 minutes outside to run the aggravation out of their systems. They waited until we were all headed inside, and then proceeded to try to kick the living shit out of this kid. It was planned, it was deliberate, and some of the other kids were recording it on their cell phones, which just makes me a crazy person.
Is it June 3rd yet?
