I guess Pandas was the expansion that broke WoW for me. I don't think I've logged in since... November? I'd been in two fabulous raid groups which both kind of disintegrated at the end of Cata. Didn't feel like finding a new home because frankly there are an awful lot of asshats online, and I have little tolerance for remaining in the vicinity ( Read more... )

I have given up on heroics/raiding too. I had major computer issues for about three months which kept me from playing for longer than 20 minutes at a stretch. I'm back again, but mostly working on leveling toons and going for Achievements, not grinding for gear. The change in my approach has been a godsend. I actually enjoy the game again.

Hm, I'm wondering if it's worth letting my account lapse and then hopping back in with a scroll of resurrection. The main thing I enjoyed about raiding was the social aspect, and many of the people I ran with have moved on.

Same here. The unfortunate result is that my guild is falling apart, as real life issues have taken their toll and the people who did want to continue raiding have found another guild so they can do that. I use Real ID to stay in touch with a lot of them, but it's not the same.
