Hermione was nearly ready to pull out her hair with anticipation. She had pondered constantly about how to address Seamus, and directly was the only way that seemed effective enough.

In her dormitory, she paced around a little, before deciding that there was no time like the present.

He was down there, alternating between staring at the fire and poking it with the poker, and watching his homework blankly with the kind of air that said he knew he had to do it sometime, but he didnt want that sometime to be now.

Seamus heaved a sigh, and twitched his foot back as a spark flew out of the fireplace from the poker jab.

She took a deep breath, before plastering a smile on her face. She tried to seem bright, but it was a bit hard due to the circumstances.

"Hey Seamus," Hermione said warmly, sitting down beside him.

He blinked, and turned his head to look at the girl, undecided as to whether he was angry at her as well or not.

But then she, at least, hadn't thought anything was wrong with Harry.

"Hi," he replied mildly, and turned back to the fire. "...What's up?"

"I'm really worried, Shay," she revealed, shaking her head slowly. "I did some research on that pyramid you got, you know, just to check it out, and there's something weird about it."

Hermione looked at Seamus, waiting for a reaction. Then she added, "So I looked into it, and found a counter curse for any damage it could do."
