Kyle's mind had been focusing on one too many things this past week, so he finished all of his homework into the wee hours of the night on Friday, so that he would have Saturday and Sunday to himself. He hoped it would be worth it

Piper had one of the Ravenclaw boys in her year teaching her this weird football or whatever game it was. She really wasn't very into it, but the boy seemed to be having a good enough time trying to teach her. He was cute enough; so she humored him.

Really, she could only manage that for so long before she got bored with it. At that point, she concocted a plan. The next person to walk by, she'd just kick the ball a little too hard toward them.

"Heads up!" She yelled toward Kyle as the ball nearly hit him in the head.

Kyle ducked, just in time, letting the ball zoom over his head.

"Yikes..." he muttered, watching the ball roll further on past him. Being the nice guy that he is, Kyle decided he might as well get it for her.

"You can leave it," Piper shrugged as she stopped once she got close enough to not have to yell.

"Doug will get it. Didn't mean to about take you out." She nodded toward the ball and figured she could do with talking to someone new for a change, besides, Mori had obviously liked Kyle enough.

Not that Piper particularly cared one way or the other for the boy, but she'd been less annoyed by Mori and him than other couples. It made her slightly more inclined to be nice.

Kyle, willing to get it, paused when he saw Doug running past him. He didn't have any issues with his house mate, and he didn't want to create any.

"Piper, right?" he asked, knowing her through Mori. The connection made him wary.
