Hello fellow crafters/knitters/crocheters! I've had an influx of versions of the 4th Doctor's scarf flow from my crochet hook over the last few months and I thought I'd share them. :)
[A commissioned long version...] A commissioned long version (with colors chosen by the recipient and some handy Doctors snagged for a photo-op)
I've been making them for several years so I don't think they are, but my friends, who don't crochet, do. You have to plan out how you want to make the layers, and then it's only as complicated as making small crocheted pieces and sewing them on the doll base in the right order.
Four here, for example, has a tweed body for his waistcoat with 2 tiny 4 stitch long triangles that lay over a piece of white felt for his shirt. Once you add on the large square for the jacket so that it frames the front, you get the illusion that shirt is under a waistcoat, which would lay under the jacket.
There's more pieces to it obviously, but gives you an idea of how I work. Just depends on if that sounds complicated to you or not. *shrugs*
Hi dawn :) I do indeed take commissions on my dolls/plush and things. I have a full gallery of what I've made so far over here on deviantart. You can contact me either by email (colies.cute.crafts@gmail.com) or just with a pm here on LJ if there's something you'd like. :)

I keep envying those crocheted dolls. Are they as fiddly as they look?
