words can not describe how freaking proud i am off the buffalo sabres. i never thought i'd see them win a presidents' trophy in my lifetime, a stanley cup, yes, but not the presidents' trophy. but now expectations are high and face it teams that finish first overall during the regular season do not usually win it all. sadly, i do wish them to crap

Okay --- still so jealous about your Vancouver trip and I cannot wait to hear all about it.

Also --- I heart my Sabres and yes I do hope to see them hoist a Cup, however I have been up on my soapbox many a day throughout the season ranting about the bandwagoners and fair-weather fans. If they did bow out early, although it would be sad I am looking forward to some relief from the Sabres fever.

PS ... I finally got a cheesesteak at Pat's (alas I am not as strong as you and am not vegetarian in any way) and I managed to screw that up! I am told because I got provalone cheese instead of Cheez Whiz that it doesn't count!

There was a segment on a Food Network show explaining HOW to order at the cheesesteak Pat's. But seriously I would have gone with the Provolone, I have never developed a taste for cheez whiz. I guess you'll have to make another trip to South Philly when it gets a little nicer out.
