What is who_remix?
- This is a fic challenge community for all eras of Doctor Who fanfic. In the same vain as remix_redux, the challenge involves authors signing up and 'remixing' a fic. Not that we wanted to step on their toes, but this community was created after chips_remixed as it was felt that a remix challenge for the entire Who fandom, and not one pairing, was needed.

Can you give a little background on why the word minimum for the remix is 1000 words when a 500-word story qualifies to be remixed? That just seems odd to me . . .

In order to qualify, a story must be at least 500 words so that it has some meat on its bones, as it were, and that people have a little more work to play with. Participants must write at least 1000 words because this is a fic challenge, and I don't think 1000 words is an unreasonable amount.

Oh, I agree that a minimum of 1000 words isn't unreasonable. I just wondered why a 500-word story would then qualify to be remixed (or why it wouldn't be 500-word story = minimum 500-word remix, 1000-word story = minimum 1000-word remix). But your comm, your rules. Thanks for the response.
