I still think "The Year That Never Was" has not yet been fully story-mined. So much potential! I enjoyed how you veered from the original and included the Doctor and Martha's POV.

I like the pattern here, with each set of characters in order and each section having its own theme. It adds up to a really nice effect.

I really love how you intertwined the experiences of Martha, the Doctor, and Jack. It is truly beautifully realized and both painful and hopeful. Excellent work!

I enjoyed the parallels tying everything together-when I saw three pairings listed in the header, I was not expecting something this focussed-but I liked the little contrasts even better, particularly the understated bit about brushing fingers in Martha's section and Jack's. That, and how natural Doctor/TARDIS seems here. There's not a lot of fic that really makes it feel like a relationship.

I've always thought of Doctor/TARDIS as the ultimate OTP. She's the wife that waits for him while he runs out and saves the world, and she's the only one who will truly always be there for him. I wish more people would consider her as an integral part of the Doctor's life, not just his ship.
