You can either put a link to the person's LJ in a sidebar/header thinger or in your userinfo.

In your userinfo, add username to it, to credit the user who you took the overrides from.

There are users and communities who have compiled lists of users who steal overrides, and apparently also communities that do the same.

We really do need to make a comm to list those that steal.

I ALWAYS put credit in the userinfo if it's not already included in the layout - and it's clearly visible.

I do the same as Mrsroyall. I edit the pictures, but I always leave a credit to the raw coding to the person. Always.
