it is gorgeous outside today. i hope it stays like this. on the peds unit they have "spring in scranton" with a snowman drawn underneath it on a dry erase board. i couldn't agree more

Since I did an internship with social services this is what they do: BY LAW we cannot remove a child UNLESS we see actual violence, or the child states that their is violence in the home. IE the child has a hand mark, or belt mark that is obvious. They cannot remove a child from a home if the parents are seeking help adn getting tested freq. Many times mothers will have to go to parenting training, but unless it is this mothers 3rd time in rehab they cannot legally take that child away- they can however place her on watched visits- in which case nurses/police/social servcie workers will watch the mother but she still has rights to see the child.
Sorry but it bothers me how much social services, and other things that were put in place to protect people really cant do anything until its somewhat to late because of all of the laws in place. I wish more people knew the law so they could change it... and even if it got changed its hard to implement everything ebcause the lack of social workers is beyond astronomical...

don't feel bad, i mean it's hard not to being that we're girls. i currently weigh 120 right now and feel the same way as well. i never realized weight was so hard to lose. did you ever find out of any diet pills that are caffeine free?
