"Hallmark Crap Poems"
In math class, i have some spare time,
but not enough to write anything good.
so this is what i do to pass time.
The light shines through
and im carefully blinded
a dream starts anew
as the story unfolds
a scenery, a setting
the props and the cast
a waiting line shows
im first and you're last
there are bright lights and lines
your role's the lead, my soul hides
then our roles just entwine
the music races through my mind
then we dance and i see
your eyes dont seem to leave me
and i too cant refuse
to look back at you

disturbance, annoyance
and the anger begind to build
the pot is boiling, overflowing
im far past rim-filled
the temperature's hot
and he knows i've been caught
by his damn distraction
so he goes for more action
and im grinding my teeth
and im trying to beat
this kid and his game
so the fame wont be claimed
just ignore and he'll stop
but i know he will not
still my tolerance high
and he sees i deny
to take part and give in
so he's done and i win

words may run dry
but these feelings inside
which i carefully abide by
no longer wish to hide
but i've been here before
and it seems the detour
and my heart were in war
and i lost to my core
the coin toss is fake
and the straw size wont make
the taste of the cake
any better than the heartache
still i argue and contemplate
to show face or accept fate
to runaway or give the bait
and these rhymes im beginning to hate

new perspective
new approach
the table turns
a starting point
the day is bold
the hours sharp
the second hand
is working so hard
through the daylight
to ourselves
in the twillight
the shield now fails

now the concrete floor is still
a desicion had been made
i took a chance against my will
and these feelings are starting to fade
hinting is misleading
one cant expect what to expect
but his choice, reason, and meaning
all seem quite indirect
still with a hunch, a thought, a guess
the subject now is burried
and my confusion is saying there is no mess
and these feelings are being carried
away
so have fun with that

because i already know
they are pretty weak. hah.
