for a living, would you rather break your back every day or sell your soul every day for a living?
I get the feeling I'm doing a bit of both

Sometimes selling your soul lets you start a new soul after wards? That's some positive thinking.

I hope you get a new job soon...

The back-breaking oneand wear a good brace. I don't have a soul any more, having traded it to KJ some years ago for her collection, but theoretically if I did, I would try to keep it. (Somewhat ironically, I feel that I am maintaining it at my current job, and my current job involves fending off the efforts of members of various religious groups, primarily fundamentalist Christians).

I guess I'm agreeing w/ the general trend of your responses: breaking your back for a living fucks you up long term, but your soul can recover, even become stronger from its incarceration. This asumes that your not breaking your back for a reason/cause/etc that you feel is work the breakage, and that the selling of your soul to this instance is not going to leave you absolutely jaded & bitter towards everything.

and this is ana. I'm being lazy about logging in, because I'm going to bed after this. g'night, unless you read this when it is no longer night-like out, in which case [enter leaving pleasantry of choice]. Or dont, because it is night somewhere.....

...

agh. brane ded. niteynite.
