Nerds on Sports March Madness Tournament - Round 2

Round Two of the Nerds on Sports tournament is up.

Apparently, the T-1000 barely beat Inigo Montoya, thus demonstrating the shocking fact that a lot of people on the Internet are morons.

Some of the Round Two match-ups are actually a bit interesting:

My thoughts:

Mr. Incredible has super strength, but Batman's seen that plenty of times before. Plus Mr. Incredible lacks the killer instinct, whereas Batman would slit your throat for lookin' at him funny.

If it was Buffy vs. Neo, I'd have to go with Neo. But Morpheus doesn't have all the reality bending abilities that Neo has. Morpheus is super strong, super fast, and is an expert in every form of martial arts. But so is Buffy, and she has pointy things.

Indy vs. Wolverine is the toughest choice for me. Indy can deal with super baddies, but only if he knows what to expect. I say Wolverine brandishes his claws, Indy pulls out his gun and casually shoots Wolverine, then Wolverine shrugs off the bullet and casually eviscerates Indy.

Mr. Incredible has super strength, but that's all. Superman has super strength, super speed, heat vision, x-ray vision, frost breath, and, I shit you not, super-knitting. But Batman can take Superman. Ergo, taking out Mr. Incredible wouldn't even cause him to break a sweat.

Morpheus is a real person. A real, doughy person who spent the first few decades of his life in a state of profound muscular atrophy. Morpheus-in-the-Matrix would put up a fight, but real-life Buffy trounces the shit out of real-life Morpheus.

Wolvie takes Indy apart. Look at how Indy kills the two big, badasses he comes up against in the movies. It's inadvertent, pretty much accident. Big Badass #1 forgets to look out for the propeller. Big Badass #2 gets his dress caught in a rock crusher. But Wolverine's got the whole adamantium thing going on; Indy won't be able to rely on a conveniently-located lethal spinning thing.
