I'm going to Exeter Uni in September, you'll have to tell me all the good places to go - preferably on flat land as I've heard it's pretty hilly and I'm lazy.

I do indeed live! It's a miracle. Most people would say that in jest, but for more it is kind of true.

Things are going okay ta, I move back to Exeter in the middle of September so of course I shall recommend some places to go for you. When do you start, usually the end of Sept isn't it? What degree are you doing? What halls are you in? lol at my halls have been knocked down, I like how they had the name 'Birks halls'. Nice.

It is pretty hilly, but unfortunately for you it's mainly the campus that's the problem. The city centre isn't too bad, there is one massive sloping hill one side of it but there's not that much down there except for some good alternativey shops selling vintage stuff etc, the real mccoy being the best of them.

I'm moving into my halls on either Sept 22 or 23, I think. I'm living in Holland Halls - and am expecting to be the poorest person there as my student loan doesn't actually cover the cost of my room, lol. The booklet said it had a balcony! How could I resist, really? My degree is English + Film Studies too, so hopefully it'll be interesting enough too.

& hills? Ew at hills. I don't do hills. Or walking, generally. I may have to steal a trolley from a supermarket and get people to push me around in them.

I was in brown the first year I went, it's pretty hectic but I like that. A bit like a refugee camp. I reckon I will be in brown this year as well, not arriving til the friday so I doubt there'll be space anywhere else...except maybe purple. Kings of Leon will be great, yes. Also looking forward to Gogol Bordello, Maximo Park, Arcade Fire, and Red Hot Chili Peppers but that's more for old time's sake than anything else
