Admittedly 2010 is a year best left to rest. The collective reflections all seem to agree that the year was more suck then it wasn't suck. And I can attest to that overall feeling. Florence + the Machine is the only new band I can recall having discovered this year whose name sticks with me. I guess I'm just not that into music anymore.

I've heard a lot of stuff about Florence + the Machine but I'm not really sure about them. Could be I just haven't given them enough time. Also Sleigh Bells is the other band that got a ton of buzz but I haven't checked them out yet. My girlfriend did just get their cd for christmas though.

I've only listened to a handful of those bands. And everytime I see the name Besnard Lakes I keep seeing Barenaked Ladies.

I hope 2011 is just as eclectic.
