Among many commentaries about what happened in Tibet and what would happen at Beijing Olympics, some groups advocate either boycotting Beijing Olympics altogether or at least the opening ceremony, or encouraging athletics openly demonstrate during the Games, wearing a Free Tibet t-shirt while competing for example. I kept trying to type some long response to this, but each time I sounded like a tongue-tied dope. So, I'll just say that I agree with you 100% and I'll keep the rest pity.

CNN is severely biased. I think a lot of the unrest and controversies are spurred on by the media to feed the pop culture desires for dirty gossip and to see others in bad situations. Which does appeal to a certain kind of person, but for years CNN's watchers have be leaving for other news outlets. I know I have. I got tired of it.

What the west can do is to find an effective way to show China how to behave responsibly to order to gain respect and influence.

Amen! If only someone would remind the west how it is done.

No nation is perfect, and constantly putting a country(which ever it might be) down and trying to humiliate it abroad will not solve any of the problems which plague it. No matter what horrible thing the government of a country might do with its policies, I never assume that it's the will of the people within.

Hi. Thank you so so much for your reply. It's refreshing to see someone talking sense for a change!

I absolutely agree with what you have said and well put as well. I have not been able to sleep very well in the past few days because of what has happened, but I am joining 500 others next week to protest outside Downing street on the unfair, biased reporting and coverage. I will let you know how that goes.
