I've seen plenty of police getting carried away and acting like thugs. We know the police made a million mistakes and shot a innocent man at close range in 2005. Not to mention Harry Stanley and Blair Peach. I know I shouldn't still be shocked, but I am.

In some ways, I'm the polar opposite. I'd love to be shocked by this, but I'm really not. Sadly, I reckon it all amounts to the same thing in the end.

there have been a number of reports stating that police were wearing balaclavas - now why would they need to do that on a spring day?

Funnily enough, about two months ago a friend and I were discussing the proposed law banning taking photographs of police and the general consensus was 'taking a photo of a police officer can't really help terrorists, so what don't they want us taking photos of?'. All of which seems a bit horrific in the light of this...
