Pasta = love; OMG a public entry!

Homework kind of bummed me out today, so instead of ranting on eljay about things that will be over and done with in three weeks, I will offer a silly pointless poll instead. About pasta: the world's other staple food. I have never met anyone who doesn't like pasta ( Read more... )

The problem with this poll is that it only lets me choose one type of noodle, thereby limiting my expression of pasta love . . . Dammit, now I want to go out for some decent pasta. Yummm.

That is the point. I'm well aware that they are all amazing, but I'm making you choose. Muhar.

Hey, this is totally unrelated to your post, but have you seen/heard of this?

Perhaps fodder for future research papers? ;)

Hey, thanks! That's really interesting. I touched on that a bit--as much as I could--in my present research paper, but it's only an 8-page deal so I had to cut down on my interesting but tangential ramblings a bit.

You didn't actually include my favourite pastas - raviloi are little pasta pockets filled with meat or vegetables minced up, and the kind with mushrooms inside are just nyarm. I'm also a big fan of potato gnocci, but it might not technically be pasta.

I intentionally didn't include ravioli and tortellini because I knew it would be a landslide. ;-) They are beyond delicious, but I spent time today contemplating which plain pasta shapes people find most pleasing.

What's your favorite ravioli filling?

Probably mushroom and garlic. Mushrooms and garlic in any situation are my favourites ever.

Mmm. They are indeed staple foods in my house.

Have you tried frying spaghetti noodles in olive oil and garlic with mushrooms and fresh spinach? It is amazing.

Mmhm. Thank us, then thank him.

But, combine Chinese noodles with italian sauce - yum.

What are chinese noodles like? The farthest I've ventured from pasta with italian sauce was rice noodles with italian sauce, and that was a rather sticky disaster.
